I was running Warp 4 on it without audio problems with the driver support available in Compaq site, SP6973 at http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/Deskpro/us/download/22.html

eComStation 1.2R: Start minstall.exe. "Add a feature" then choose "feature from CD ROM". In the list of sound cards you will find your ESS chipset listed. You must use that driver.
