I/O Procedures FAQ: FAQ
Q1: How to query list of installed I/O Procedures? A1: Download utility: http://ecomstation.ru/projects/eschemes-deluxe/download/mmpmtool.zip
Query list of installed procedures: mmpmtool >mmpmtool.log
|
Q2: How to install PNG I/O Procedure? A2: eCS 1.2R is equipped with PNG IO Proc.
If you downloaded full PNG package from betazone and have troubles
with installation then read this information:
(thx Mark Abramowitz)
The install installs 3 different items, any of which can be deselected.
Presumably, absent any other instruction, the user will not deselect
anything. If any of those items fail to install, the user will not see an
error message UNLESS he installs from a command prompt. The install of
jpegio.dll (over the exisitng jpegio.dll) failed, so the entire install
apparently failed. I was only able to see this when I tried to install
from a command prompt. I then installed again, this time deselecting
jpeg io.dll, and the install proceeded without problem.
I would suggest letting the user know when there is an error in the install.
Also, the error message that I saw when installing from the command prompt
needs to be reworded to make sense. I don't have the error message in
front of me, so I can't offer a suggestion right now, but I think that
something was lost in the translation.
