 Lenovo Thinkpad X41
Mark: Average (the report is combined by ecomstation.ru)

Someone mentioned hot-rodding their computers a few days ago, so I thought I'd
report that I've replace the hard drive of my Thinkpad X41 with an SSD (Solid
State Drive). Sysbench can't create a disk i/o benchmark for the new drive,
possibly because access time is 0. File i/o is about three times faster. The
biggest differences seem to be associated with reading large numbers of small
files, such as an e-mail program like polarbar mailer or PMMail/2.

The X41 isn't normally considered to be a fast laptop because it's hard drive
is a 1.8 inch model similar to those used in the original iPod. With the SSD,
disk speed is more like a desktop with a good, fast disk.

Happy motoring.
