I have a Samsung SyncMaster 245B running with a X300 at 1920x1200 at DVI. Although I usually do not care about 'auto monitor detect' and set a standard monitor by hand, with this installation it is set to auto and works. SNAP reports Monitor: SyncMaster and Monitor detected successfully.
