Bob St.John o director de business development da Serenity Systems fez um anuncio sensacional que muda o futuro do eCS.

pensado para permitir que usuarios do eCS rodem programas Linux e Windows no OS/2, a Connectix http://www.connectix.com, que desenvolve o Virtual PC para Windows, assinou um contrato com a Serenity Systems e a Innotek na sexta, 14 de Setembro, que visa o desenvolvimento, marketing e venda de uma maquina virtual.

O novo aplicativo vai ser desenvolvido pela Innotek baseado na propriedade intelectual da Connectix. O produto sera vendido como um aplicativo para OS/2 tanto pela Serenity Systems como pela Innotek, com uma opc,ao de upgrade para eCS. E' esperado que o aplicativo inclua capacidades de rodar Linux como guest. O suporte para Windows tambem esta incluido nos planos de desenvolvimento.
